STOW chats with editor of Wallpaper*, Henrietta Thompson to discuss her travel secrets.
To where would you most like to stowaway?
To a sundrenched villa by the shores of Lake Como, or a secluded tropical paradise like Bora Bora, please…
Who would you take with you?
My husband and my baby girl, and our closest most fun-loving friends
One essential piece of kit you cannot travel without, and why?
My laptop, because you never know when inspiration, ideas, questions (or deadlines) will strike, and it’s the best tool when you want to make things happen quickly
What is your favourite Stow piece, and why?
The First Class Leather Tech Case because it would instantly tidy up my act, with passport, papers, chargers and adapters all in one, gorgeous package…
What would you keep in your Stow secret envelope?
Luxury or practicality – which one are you?
There’s no reason not to have both!
Best piece of travel attire to stay stylish when on the move?
Le Kasha cashmere, Common Projects sneakers, Globetrotter cases and a great big Hill & Friends handbag.
How do you stay stylish when travelling?
Travel light, and pick up accessories as you go – that way you always have a little souvenir of the trip too.
Best piece of fashion advice you’ve received?
Fashion should be fun. Invest in amazing coats, bags, shoes and underwear, then the rest is easy and you can focus on what you’re doing rather than what you’re wearing.
Who is your travel hero/heroine and why?
Amelia Earhart! But also all the super stylish luxury travel and fashion magazine editors I have had the privilege to get to know over the years.
Which luxury item can you not travel without?
My First Class Leather Tech Case! Of course…
